What does the people agent actually do?
It finds the people quietly waiting on someone. Each weekday it looks for applications that arrived five to seven days ago and lists who has still heard nothing. On Fridays it matches the week of interviews against written feedback and names the ones with none, while people still remember the interview. Does it email candidates on its own?
No. Every HR automation in the catalog reads and then reports to you. The list goes to your inbox or to Slack, and the reply is yours to send. That is deliberate for this department in particular: a rejection or a chase from an automation is worse than a slow one from a person.
